1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the StarWritten app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
StarWritten is an entertainment and self-knowledge app that offers:
- Astrological readings based on your natal chart
- Personalized daily predictions
- Astrological compatibility analysis
- Dream interpretation
- Palm reading
- Past lives analysis
- Tarot and Búzios guidance
- Interactive consultation with virtual tarot reader (with optional audio recording)
- Live consultations with independent third-party Readers (per-minute billing)
- Social network (Astral Network) with user-generated content (Omens), profiles, and community interaction
- Achievement system (Badges) with progression tiers and rewards
3. Nature of Content & Scope of Responsibility
IMPORTANT: All StarWritten content and third-party advice are based on traditional astrological principles and divinatory systems (Rider-Waite Tarot, Búzios).
The system, INCLUDING all readings, interactions, and advice provided by third-party Live Readers, is provided EXCLUSIVELY for entertainment, spiritual reflection, and self-knowledge purposes.
We absolutely do not replace, nor are we a substitute for, professional medical diagnoses, psychiatric/psychological treatments, financial planning, or legal advice. Under no circumstances should any decision be made purely based on a reading. If you are experiencing a life crisis, please seek immediately the help of licensed clinical professionals.
4. Appropriate Use
You agree to:
- Provide truthful information about your date of birth
- Use the App only for personal and non-commercial purposes
- Not share your account with third parties
- Not attempt to bypass security or payment systems
- Not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the platform
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
4.1 Microphone Usage
- The interactive consultation feature may request access to your device's microphone
- By granting this permission, you authorize the use of the microphone exclusively during active interaction with the consultation
- You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings
- Recorded audio is processed locally and is not stored on servers
4.2 Astral Network (Social Network) & Community Guidelines
The Astral Network is StarWritten's social feature where users can post short messages ("Omens"), interact with other users via resonance and echoes, bookmark content, and build their public profiles.
- Content Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting on the Astral Network, you grant StarWritten a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the platform.
- Prohibited Content: You must not post content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, or that promotes violence. You must not impersonate other users or public figures.
- Spam & Manipulation: Bulk posting, artificial engagement (fake resonances, coordinated echo campaigns), and any form of social manipulation are strictly prohibited.
- Automated Governance: The platform employs automated moderation systems (AI-powered governance) that may flag, restrict, or remove content that violates these guidelines. Repeated violations will trigger account-level penalties.
- Content Removal: StarWritten reserves the right to remove any content at any time, without prior notice, if it violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate by the moderation system.
5. Account, Data & Enforcement
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- By creating an account, you authorize the storage of necessary data
ACCOUNT ENFORCEMENT POLICY: In the event of a violation of any clause in these Terms of Use, StarWritten reserves the right to take any or all of the following actions, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Immediate account suspension or permanent ban — total loss of access to all platform features.
- Forfeiture of all wallet credits — any remaining balance, pending transactions, or unused credits will be frozen and may be permanently confiscated.
- Revocation of premium status and subscriptions — Premium and Premium Plus benefits will be immediately terminated with no refund for the remaining subscription period.
- Revocation of all badges, achievements, and rewards — all earned badges, progression tiers, VIP status, free consultation credits, and any other earned or granted benefits will be permanently revoked.
- Social network restrictions — content removal, posting restrictions, or complete removal from the Astral Network.
These penalties are cumulative and non-negotiable. No compensation, refund, or restitution of any kind will be provided to users whose accounts are penalized due to terms violations.
6. Live Consultations & Per-Minute Billing
- The App offers real-time text, voice, and video consultations with independent third-party Tarot Readers and esoteric professionals.
- Per-Minute Billing: Live sessions are billed precisely based on the duration (minutes and seconds) the user remains in the active room after the Reader accepts the consultation.
- Irreversible Refund Policy: Because time is an unrecoverable asset delivered in real-time by an independent contractor, there are absolute no refunds for time already consumed in an active chat room.
- AFK (Away From Keyboard) Penalty: If a user abandons a live session without explicitly closing the chat, the system may automatically terminate the session after 3 minutes of inactivity to protect the user's credits. The user will be billed normally for this 3-minute AFK period, and no refunds will be issued.
6.1 Scheduled Sessions, No-Shows & Cancellations
The platform provides scheduled consultations. When scheduling or joining, the following rules apply:
- Escrow Deposit: Scheduling a future consultation requires an immediate lock on your wallet equivalent to 2 minutes of the consultant's rate.
- No-Show Policy: Users must be online at the exact scheduled time. If the user fails to join within the first 60 seconds (one minute) of the scheduled time, the consultation is cancelled and the 2-minute deposit is entirely forfeited and repassed to the consultant to compensate for wait time.
- Late Cancellations: Scheduled consultations can be cancelled without cost and with deposit refund only with more than forty-eight (48) hours of advance notice. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event will result in the total loss of the deposit in favor of the consultant.
7. Premium Subscriptions & Store Purchases
- Premium features and credit packages require paid transactions.
- Premium Monthly: R$ 48.28/month as a lifetime discount for users who subscribe within the first 48 hours after install, or R$ 77.48/month at the regular price after that promotional window expires. The 48h promo is a permanent price discount tied to your Apple/Google account while the subscription remains active — it is not a free trial.
- Premium Plus+ Annual: R$ 254.95/year with native 3-day free trial via Play/App Store.
- Payment is strictly processed by Stripe, App Store or Google Play.
- Cancellations follow the policies of the respective payment gateways.
- There is no refund after utilizing one-time digital features (such as career analysis or consuming wallet credits).
7.1. Premium Plus — Courtesy Session
Premium Plus subscribers receive one (1) initial courtesy consultation with any Reader, with no time limit, exclusively in "Chat Now" mode (instant consultation). This courtesy:
- Is granted only once per account (after consumed, all subsequent sessions are billed normally).
- Is not available during the 3-day trial period of Premium Plus.
- Applies only to instant consultations (scheduled sessions always lock the full deposit).
- The user is not charged for the courtesy time.
- The Reader is not aware that the session is a courtesy (compliance — guarantees equal quality of service).
7.2. Super Nova Program (Semiannual Distribution to Readers)
StarWritten operates a semiannual redistribution program called Super Nova, designed to compensate Readers who provide Premium Plus courtesy sessions:
- Every 6 months (June 1st and December 1st), 10% of the net Premium Plus subscription revenue accumulated over the previous 6 months is distributed among eligible Readers.
- H1 semester: December (year N-1) → May (year N), distributed on June 1st (year N)
- H2 semester: June (year N) → November (year N), distributed on December 1st (year N)
- Initial grace period (warm-up): Super Nova counting begins only in the semester after launch. With launch scheduled for June/2026, the first counted semester is H1-2027 (Dec/2026 → May/2027), and the first effective distribution will occur on June 1st, 2027. During the warm-up period (Jun-Nov/2026), Readers attend Premium Plus courtesies normally but the pool is not yet active.
- Eligibility: Reader must have attended at least 1 (one) Premium Plus courtesy session during the semester.
- Distribution: Proportional to the Reader's total hours attended during the semester (including paid consultations and courtesies), excluding the 3 initial account validation sessions.
- The Super Nova distribution does not constitute salary or employment relationship — it is a performance-based gratuity.
- This program ensures Readers who answer Premium Plus courtesy calls are properly compensated, without burdening the Premium Plus user during the courtesy session.
7.3. Referral Program (Invite Codes)
StarWritten operates an opt-in referral program for users with active Social Network profiles:
- Host (inviter) benefit: the user who shares their unique invite code earns 10% of the net value of every qualifying credit-pack purchase (Discover, Insight, Deep Dive, Astral Oracle — Spark excluded) that the guest makes during 12 months after the guest redeems the code. Cashback is recurring for each qualifying purchase within that window.
- Guest benefit: the user who redeems an invite code receives 5% extra credits on their first qualifying credit-pack purchase. This is a one-time onboarding bonus minted as additional credits — the price charged by Stripe is unchanged.
- Hold period: the host's cashback is held in escrow for 45 days after each purchase to cover potential chargebacks; after maturity it becomes withdrawable.
- Withdrawal: via Stripe Connect Express, minimum $50 USD per request. Platform spread fee of 4.5% + Stripe transfer fee (~$0.25 + 0.25%) are deducted from the gross.
- Eligibility to withdraw: host must have an active Social Network profile, be at level 15 or above, have no active moderation flags, completed Stripe Connect onboarding, and have accepted these Terms.
- Privacy: the host sees only redeem timestamps and aggregated status of each guest. Names, usernames, individual purchase amounts and counts are NEVER displayed to the host — guests remain fully anonymous in the dashboard.
- Anti-fraud:
- Self-referral, repeated card fingerprints across host and guest, multiple accounts from the same device, and induced chargebacks result in permanent block from the program, forfeiture of pending balances, and may trigger account-level bans.
- 3 or more chargebacks from the same guest auto-block the host.
- Reversed (charged-back) purchases revert the host's cashback retroactively — may become outstanding debt if already withdrawn.
- All withdrawal requests pass through automated governance review before payout.
- Coverage (important): the program covers credit-pack purchases only (Discover, Insight, Deep Dive, Astral Oracle). Subscriptions (Premium Mensal, Premium Plus, Annual) and reader-side features (gallery boosts, profile spotlight) are EXCLUDED — neither generates host cashback nor the guest's 5% welcome bonus. This restriction is intentional: credit packs power the App's live-consultation marketplace, which falls under Apple App Store Review Guideline 3.1.3(d) — Real-time Person-to-Person Services (live tarot consultations between two individuals via chat/audio/video), allowing payment through Stripe (outside Apple's in-app purchase system). Subscriptions, by contrast, unlock features within the app (Guideline 3.1.1) and must use Apple/Google in-app purchase. Keeping the referral program scoped to credits ensures a clean accounting boundary, full compliance with Guideline 3.1.3(d), and parallel compliance with Google Play's peer-to-peer payments exemption.
- Modification: the platform may pause, modify, or terminate the program at any time. Balances already pending will be honored under the rules in effect at the time of the original purchase.
- Not employment: participation in the referral program does not constitute salary, employment relationship, or partnership — it is a performance-based bonus available to users who promote the App.
8. Intellectual Property
All App content (texts, images, design) is the property of Oak Entertainment Lab and protected by copyright laws.
9. Limitation of Liability
StarWritten is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:
- Absolute accuracy of automated predictions or live readings.
- Specific results in relationships or finances based on the guidance received.
- Uninterrupted service availability or video-call stability.
10. Modifications
We may update these terms periodically. Continuing to use the platform constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
